Current TNA Champion In Contract Year

2025 has been a seismic year for TNA Wrestling both in and out of the ring, with several roster members moving on to pastures new. And one more name could join that list if they don’t sign a new deal.

TNA have already seen the likes of Jordynne Grace, Josh Alexander, and Ace Austin depart in 2025, and a report from Fightful Select suggests that current TNA International Champion Steve Maclin is in the midst of a contract year, with his current deal set to conclude in December 2025.

Since joining TNA in 2021, Maclin has been used strongly by the company, having reigned as TNA World Champion in 2023, before his current reign as International Champion - with Maclin the inaugural champion of the latter title.

There’s no word on whether TNA are confident of retaining Maclin’s services or not. Should he choose to leave the promotion, then it’s equally unknown where Maclin would land.

A former member of the WWE roster as Steve Cutler, Maclin’s wife Deonna Purrazzo is currently part of the All Elite Wrestling roster so there are certainly options for Maclin. Indeed, prior to signing a new TNA deal in mid-2024, Maclin confirmed he held talks with other promotions.
