Cora Jade Open To Signing With AEW
Now known again as Elayna Black, the former WWE Superstar talks about AEW.

Jun 3, 2025
Elayna Black - formerly known in WWE as Cora Jade - was a guest on yesterday's Ariel Helwani Show. Among many other topics, she touched upon the notion of wrestling in AEW.
"I would definitely be open to going to AEW. I loved my time there. I have a lot of friends there. I watch all the shows. I love the fact that they have as much creative freedom as they do. I’m so much for storylines and character, so I feel like they are very like creatively free in that way."
Black has previously wrestled two matches for the promotion, both occurring in October 2020 on AEW Dark.
The topic was possibly touched upon due to Elayna's affiliation with CM Punk, who, of course, had an acrimonious exit from AEW in 2023. Footage has emerged of a young Black meeting Punk at a meet and greet, and he has since appeared to act as a mentor figure since she broke into the wrestling business.
Elayna was one of various Superstars released in May, having been a member of WWE's NXT brand since 2021. She is a former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion, winning the belts with Roxanne Perez, with whom she often teamed and feuded throughout her tenure there.
