Britt Baker has been gone from All Elite Wrestling for well over a year and the former AEW Women's World Champion has addressed her ongoing absence from the promotion.
AEW Revolution 2026 featured several returns to the promotion, including Adam Copeland & Christian Cage, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega. There was also the surprise debut of Ronda Rousey as she had a pull-apart brawl with Toni Storm. Britt Baker did not make her return at the pay-per-view, though, and after a fan expressed their discontent about Baker not being on the show on X/Twitter, the former dentist replied, "Not up to me."
Britt Baker is an AEW original and she reigned as AEW Women's World Champion for 290 days between May 2021 and March 2022. Baker has been absent from AEW TV since the November 13, 2024 episode of Dynamite when Baker was confronted by Serena Deeb, but Britt spent the segment saying that "nobody cares."
AEW CEO Tony Khan addressed Britt Baker's status with the promotion in February 2026 during an appearance on the Yo Josh Martinez Show, saying:
"Britt's somebody I really like and respect a lot. I definitely think as we've evolved, with more tag teams and singles wrestling opportunities across multiple shows, now that we have four hours of TV with Dynamite and Collision, I think there's going to be more and more opportunities. Britt's still somebody very highly regarded and respected here in AEW. I would expect to see Britt back in AEW. I just don't want to say when."
Baker later noted that she was not retired from pro wrestling but that she was no longer a full-time dentist due to pro wrestling fans being too passionate.
