After eight years away, Big Cass made his return to WWE on the post-SummerSlam edition of Monday Night Raw on August 3.
Cass was expected to return on that show, with it having been teased for weeks, and the former Big Bill made his presence felt by attacking Je'Von Evans following his win over Ethan Page. Cass then cut a backstage promo, declaring that Evans was simply in the way and that Je'Von was one of many bodies he was going to "stack."
PWInsider has reported that Big Cass was under the ring in order to set up his return on Raw. The soon-to-be 40-year-old was said to be in great spirits and excited about his return to the company.
During his time outside of WWE, Big Cass had wrestled for TNA and All Elite Wrestling as W. Morrissey and Big Bill. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion departed All Elite Wrestling upon the expiry of his contract in early July, although it had been rumoured since May that Big Cass was on his way back to WWE.
Reports have noted that Big Cass will be joined by former tag team partner, Enzo Amore, in WWE, although it is unknown exactly when Amore will make his return to WWE programming.
