Anthony Bowens' AEW Contract Due To Expire On October 1

Anthony Bowens may soon be on his way out of All Elite Wrestling.

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has reported that Bowens' AEW deal is currently scheduled to expire on October 1. It is unknown if the two sides have held talks over a contract extension. Bowens' former tag team partner in The Acclaimed Max Caster may also exit AEW as his deal is due to expire on October 1 as well.

Anthony Bowens has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since 2020 and he and Max Caster teamed together as The Acclaimed until they split in January 2025. Bowens was booked as The Pride of Pro Wrestling following the Acclaimed split but a reunion with Caster was teased throughout the second half of 2025 until the angle was quietly dropped after Bowens and Caster teamed together on four occasions from September to November of last year.

Anthony Bowens switched to a storyline of trying to join The Opps, which ultimately happened in April 2026 after he was accepted into the stable by Samoa Joe. Bowens' most recent match was at the AEW All In Buy In where The Opps were defeated by Lio Rush and The Rascalz, with Bowens being pinned.

Across his AEW run, Anthony Bowens is a one-time AEW World Tag Team Champion with Max Caster and a one-time AEW World Trios Champion with Max Caster and Billy Gunn.

Prior to signing with AEW, Bowens received interest from WWE. It is unknown if WWE will look to bring in Bowens six years later.
