The last major stop before All In, Double or Nothing would set-up several matches for the big Texas Stadium show, especially with the winners of the men’s and women’s Owen Hart Cup.
So what happened at Double or Nothing? We have all the results for the show below.
Anna Jay & Harley Cameron def. Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford - Pre-Show
Megan Bayne started strong, but needed assistance from Penelope Ford to keep a spirited Harley Cameron at bay. Quick tags and tandem offence from the faces as they showed how quickly they’ve adapted to life as a team with Harley plunging Penelope’s face into Anna’s arse in what was certainly unique offence. The heels muscled their way back in front, Bayne again showing her raw power when deadlift back-suplexing Anna into the ring from the apron.
The heels continued to work over Anna, Bayne getting a two-count after a release belly-to-belly suplex, but Anna refused to go quietly, levelling Megan with a Blockbuster before getting the hot tag to Harley who ran wild. Harley came close with a two-count after a double DDT on the heels, before Bayne hit a double German suplex on Anna and Harley. The ‘Megasus’ then used Penelope as a missile against the faces on the floor, then planted Anna in the ring with a lovely running ligerbomb. Parade of finishers left all four women laying. Double superplex by the faces got Bayne down for a two-count, before Harley evaded. Doomsday Device attempt and got the win on Penelope with ‘The Finishing Move’ (inverted Crossrhodes) as Bayne was busy on the floor with Anna.
Hologram, Bandido, Komander, & AR Fox def. RPG Vice & KRU - Pre-Show
The faces took too long hotdogging during their entrance and got bumrushed by the heels for their troubles. The faces regrouped quickly and ran a train on Rocky Romero, isolating the multi-promotion star. Bandido lifted Rocky for the one arm delayed vertical suplex, but Trent made the save for his RPG Vice team mate… until Bandido chucked Rocky at him on the floor for his troubles. The fight spilled to the floor as the heels took control, Trent getting a two on Bandido after a gorgeous Tornado DDT.
AR Fox ran wild on CRU as his AEW redemption continued, getting wild cheers as he levelled Action Andretti with a cannonball tope, but again the heels took control, isolating Fox and working him over. Fox managed to take down RPG Vice with a Senton, but after his partners were taken out ate a tandem Strong Zero for a nearfall as Bandido made the vital save. Fox finally made the hot tag to Hologram who took down CRU with Komander, the former ROH TV Champ recovering well after mistiming his rope run. Huge four man diving spot as the faces levelled the heels, then fourway 450s and SSPs by the faces, before Komander got an assisted 21-Plex on a bloodied Andretti for the pinfall.
Mercedes Moné def. Jamie Hayter - Women's Owen Hart Cup Final
The main PPV card opened with the first of the night’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament finals as Mercedes Moné and Jamie Hayter clashed for the Owen Cup, and a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In. Duelling chants as the action kicked off, Moné quickly taking control of the bout by targeting Hayter’s back, only to eat a ton of hard offence from the former World Champion. The two jockeyed for position on the mat, Hayter coming out on top with a single crab until Moné wriggled out and hit a running Meteora through the ropes, before a follow-up drove Hayter off the apron to the floor.
Mercedes firmly took control, again focusing on Hayter’s lower back, but Jamie fought back using her power advantage to batter Moné back a step. Hayter was perched on bret’s rope but Mercedes was quick to drag her to the mat, Hayter again bumping hard on her weakened lower back. Corner Meteora by Moné, but Hayter avoided a second to nail Mercedes with a back suplex, then a Bret’s rope missile dropkick then a corner Meteora of her own. Three Amigos from the ‘CEO’, but Mercedes took too long going up for the Love machine Frog Splash, Hayter cutting her off with a delayed superplex. Hayter tried rolling through but ate a Backstabber before the two exchanged stiff kicks finished off with a big lariatooo from Hayter as both women hit the deck. The action spilled to the floor, Hayter avoiding catastrophe after slipping on the ringsteps to level Moné with a diving clothesline. Back in ring Moné regrouped to nail three Backstabbers and rolled into the Statement Maker, but Jamie powered out. Money Maker attempt thwarted, but Moné fired back with a top rope form-of-a-Meteora for two. Moné went for a roll through pin but was caught in a rearnaked choke but managed to escape quickly. Moné again locked in the Statement Maker but Hayter powered out and up to her feet for a Spicolli Driver/GTS type move and another basement lariat for two-and-three-quarters.
Moné blocked several more lariat attempts but ate a huge Tombstone, again kicking out at the death as Hayter looked exasperated. Hayter revved up for the Hayterade, but Mercedes scouted it and hit a nasty looking arm-trap DDT for the win, earning a shot at the AEW women’s World Championship
Post-match, Moné made a beeline for the entrance ramp and the Owen trophy and championship belt as pyro fired in the arena.
FTR def. Nigel McGuinness & Daniel Garcia
Cash Wheeler and Daniel Garcia started this one, Garcia levelling Cash and dancing after initially being ‘little brothered’ buy the multi-time world tag team champion. Dax Harwood called for Nigel McGuinness, with the former ROH World Champion obliging and eating a serving of chops for his troubles. Nigel fired back with European uppercuts before FTR retreated to the floor. Vintage Nigel with the corner headstand before crushing Cash with a big draping lariat. Apron Tower of London attempt thwarted as FTR repeatedly rammed Nigel into the announce desk as Cash mockingly played with Tony Schiavone’s hair at the broadcast position.
FTR were firmly in control as Dax mocked McGuinness, Cash then hitting an apron Tower of London on Nigel as he dedicated the move to an incensed Schiavone. FTR continued to work over Nigel, but McGuinness took advantage of a short window to flatten Cash with a Jawbreaker Lariat. Daniel Garcia finally tagged in and ran wild on FTR, pummelling both men at once with old-skool corner 10-punches. Deadlift back suplex on Dax for two into a Dragon Tamer, but Cash made the save. Dax avoided a Tower of London, only to eat an assisted Tower off of Garcia’s shoulders for two. FTR collided with Jawbreaker lariats as the faces locked in tandem submission hols as Daddy Magic and Stokely tussled on the floor. Nigel then forced Dax to apologise to ‘Mr. Schiavone’ before Garcia hit the top-rope Superplex on Dax, rolling through and taking it back up top for a second, but an attempt at a third was met with a Power Plex for two as an exhausted McGuinness made the save.
Shatter Machine onto Nigel on the floor in front of an exuberant Stokely. Schiavone went to check on Nigel as FTR cornered him before they turned their attention to Garcia in the ring. ‘Red Death’ fired on Dax and Cash with strikes but ate a beautiful piledriver for two. Spike pilderiver again got two as Garcia got his foot to the rope. Sharpshooter on Garcia as Dax crushed Daddy Magic with a tope suicida whilst Nigel ate a kick to the skull whilst trying in vain to make it back into the ring. Garcia fought on bravely but passed out from the pain as the referee called it.
Ricochet def. Mark Briscoe - Stretcher Match
Ricochet wasted no time, attacking Briscoe during his entrance as the fight instantly spilled to the floor. Briscoe quickly outfought Ricochet and took the fight up to the ambulance at the stage area before Ricochet sprinted away and back into the safety of the ring. Briscoe toyed with Ricochet on the floor, levelling him with a stretcher before eating a jumping knee. Ricochet went for a running Shooting Star Press off the apron, but Briscoe moved as Ricochet crashed into the stretcher. Briscoe then hit a Cactus Elbow onto Ricochet on the stretcher. Briscoe followed up with chair shots then unveiled a table as he continued the fight on the floor.
Briscoe then grabbed some cleaning products and shined up Ricochet’s bald bald head before clobbering it with a pail. Air Sabu attempt thwarted as Ricochet launched a chair at Briscoe as he went for the chair assisted triple jump, but Briscoe recovered to hit a lovely exploder suplex. Ricochet sprayed Briscoe in the eyes with his bald cleaning spray, then repeatedly smashed his bloody head into the exposed metal stretcher. The fight again returned to the ambulance as Ricochet wheeled Briscoe then transferred him onto another gurney, but as Ricochet went to close the ambulance doors for the win Briscoe prevented the closure with a crutch before spraying a fire extinguisher at his opponent. Back in ring Briscoe nailed a lariat and a perfect Jay Driller then returned to the floor to set up a table, crushing ricochet through the wood with a pitch-perfect Froggy-Bow with some serious hang-time. Ricochet avoided a second Jay Driller on the ramp and gouged Briscoe with his trusty scissors. Briscoe got his hand on the scissors and stalked Ricochet towards the ambulance where Rico unearthed a second set and again stabbed Briscoe. Kick to the plums and a Spirit Gun on the floor was enough to subdue Briscoe as Ricochet bundled him into the ambulance and closed the doors for the win.
The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) (c) def. Sons of Texas (Sammy Guevara & Dustin Rhodes) - AEW World Tag Team Championships
MVP and newest associate MJF accompanying the AEW World Tag Team Champions for this one, Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara wishing they had eyes in the back of their heads. Lashley and Dustin started things off, Rhodes looking concerned as Lashley unloaded on him. Rhodes and Benjamin then enjoyed a good tete-a-tete before the rapid Guevara tagged in and used his speed to outdo Benjamin before being caught with a series of release German suplexes. Big leaping knee on Lashley by Guevara during a flurry of offence, but Lashley had the wherewithal to hit a massive lift into a one handed chokeslam.
MJF attacked Sammy on the floor then hyped the crowd up as the ref was distracted, before Lashley hit a monstrous Dominator on Guevara for two. Big Sammy cutter gave him enough room to make the tag as Dustin hit his classic arsenal on Benjamin and a Code Red for two. Shattered Dreams and the Natural Bulldog for two as Lashley made the save. Crossrhodes on Lashley for two as Sammy hit a lovely Shooting Star Press onto Benjamin on the floor. Back in ring Benjamin regroup to hit a big biel to Goldust from the top rope as MJF offered Shelton the Dynamite Diamond Ring much to Lashley’s chagrin. Lashley spear for two as Rhodes pulled Benjamin to the floor to break the pin, Rhodes catching MJF as he went strike him with the ring. MJF again went for the ring shot but was chastised by Lashley… who cracked into a smile and fistbumped his new ally before spearing Dustin through the barricade. Sammy went for a tope suicida on Lashley and MJF but ate a leaping knee on the apron from Shelton out of nowhere. Knee to the jaw and a thrust kick, and Benjamin gets the 1-2-3.
Kazuchika Okada (c) def. Speedball Mike Bailey - AEW Continental Championship
Lots of mind games to start off from both competitors, before Bailey sent Okada to the floor with a hurricanrana. Okada was sent into the steps, but avoided a running kick as Bailey collided with the steel and followed with a Karate kid crane kick and a corner moonsault press onto the floor. Okada absorbed more of Bailey’s offence and took control of the bout handily nailing a crisp DDT on the floor then a second in the ring. Okada absorbed several chops from Bailey then sent them to the floor with a running single leg basement dropkick, but missed a running baseball slide as Bailey scouted it and hit an springboard moonsault. Bailey built some momentum with a series of strikes, but again Okada had them scouted and hit the over the shoulder neckbreaker for two.
Huge rolling elbow and a falcon arrow by Speedball, but Bailey took too long to hit the Shooting Star Press giving Okada time to get his knees up. Standing strike exchange, but Okada caught the tornado kick, only to eat a spinning back kick to the head before dropkicking Bailey to the floor from Bret’s rope. Ultimo Weapon on the apron then the huge tornado kick in the corner by Bailey, but the top rope Ultimo Weapon attempt missed. Bailey built momentum and hit the Moonsault Knee and a spinning back kick as Okada readied for the Rainmaker. Another spinning kick looked to get three for Bailey but Okada grabbed the rope in time. More kicks by Bailey as they firmly established control of the bout, but never rule out Okada who hit two lariats out of nowhere, but couldn’t hit Rainmaker as Bailey again avoided it and rolled through a straightjacket pin attempt for two. Ultimo Weapon attempt was met with a big dropkick in midair and The Rainmaker for the pinfall win.
Toni Storm (c) def. Mina Shirakawa - AEW Women's World Championship
Hold counter hold start as Mina targeted Storm’s legs, but their was an element of respect as both women shook hands and exchanged pleasantries, as well as dance moves. Mina again focused on the legs as she took control of the early portion of the match, getting a bit nasty as she wrapped the champ’s knee around the ringpost. Storm fired back with a snap suplex on the floor, then got a nearfall in ring with a fisherman’s suplex, but her knee was showing the effects of Mina’s attacks. Mina with a nice rebound tornado DDT and a huge rolling elbow, then a rope assisted dragon screw to again jar Toni’s knee. Luther attempted to stop Mina from rushing Storm on the floor but received a kick to the spuds as Mina vaulted him to land a running tornillo. Mina diving crossbody rocked Luther.
In ring Mina again hit a dragon screw then locked in a Figure Four, only for Storm to immediately alligator roll to the ropes and safety. Strike exchange saw Mina repeatedly kick Storm’s knee in, but the champ dropped her with aback suplex, and two release German Suplexes. Storm’s knee gave out as she went for the running hip attack, but she soon came close to a win after getting a 2.9 with a Sky High. Mina hurricanrana into an inverted Figure Four to again put unbelievable pressure on Storm’s knee, but the champ made the rope once more. Rolling elbow Uriken combo by Mina and the Glamorous Driver for two as the challenger yelled out in frustration. Storm hit the hip attack but Mina avoided the Storm Zero to lock in a Figure Four leglock in the centre of the ring. Storm looked close to tapping but made the ropes, enjoying a quick strike exchange before finally nailing Storm Zero for the 1-2-3.
Post-match the two shook hands then enjoyed a lovely kiss and show of respect, as AEW confirmed it will be Storm vs. Mercedes Moné at All In.
Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, The Opps, & Willow Nightingale def. Death Riders & The Young Bucks - Anarchy in the Arena
“Ahhh s*** get on your feet” exclaimed Justin Roberts to kick this one off. Swerve Strickland entered first dressed as Predator, followed by Willow Nightingale, then Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs with Samoa Joe nowhere to be found. Kenny Omega was last out for the faces, complete with Captain America inspired ring gear and bin-lid shield. The Death Riders arrived in their pick-up then split off as they made their way through the crowd. Finally it was time for The Young Bucks as ye olde penny whistle music played as Justin Roberts read out a statement putting over The Bucks’ achievements as revolutionaries as ‘AEW founding fathers’ the Jacksons came out complete with flags and Benjamin Franklin inspired gear.
This one was hard to follow as it was literally anarchy. Samoa Joe appeared out of nowhere to choke out Claudio and take him to the concourse and into the street, as Marina Shafir hit a vertical suplex onto Willow on the top of the barricade - tin whistle music still playing such is Anarchy in the Arena tradition. Kenny got the music changed to Pointer Sisters ‘I’m So Excited’ as Swerve eventually came on board as the ultimate party match kicked off. Joe and Claudio carried on scrapping through the arena as Omega took a mic in ring and encouraged the crowd to sing along as Drowning Pool’s ‘Bodies’ played as Swerve hit a Fosbury flop casual as you like.
Lots of walk and brawl and plunder as the AEW production team did their best to follow all the strands of action. Moxley busted Hobbs open with a fork, as Yuta and Omega battled on a balcony, Hobbs appearing out of nowhere to launch Yuta into a group of perfectly placed security guards then assist Omega into hitting a Super Crazy diving moonsault as Drowning Pool continued to play over the PA. In ring Mox repeatedly stabbed Hobbs with the fork as Swerve hit a backbreaker on Nicholas Jackson onto a chair as Mox set a table in the corner of the ring as Hobbs regrouped to pick up the champ and hit a running spear through the wood. You Can’t Escape by Omega for two as Willow ad Shafir fought outside in the loading area, Willow just launching bottles at Marina before clobbering her in the face with a bottle and slamming her on a table just like a regular bank holiday in a Wetherspoons. Shibata popped Yuta into a wheelie bin then drove him into some shutters then hitting a barbed wire wrapped round kick.
On the entrance ramp Omega and Swerve tussled with The Bucks, Strickland planting a House Call into Nicholas Jackson’s face before leaping off the stage and into a Claudio very European uppercut. Claudio giant swung Swerve into a speaker to kill the music then was bodychecked by Hobbs through some roadcases. Mathew Jackson then leaped out of nowhere to flatten Hobbs as a bloodied Shafir and Willow fought their way down to ringside, Marina walloping Nightingale with a frying pan. Omega went for the Terminator dive but ate a Nicholas superkick, before Nick hit a stomp onto a rope hung Omega who catapulted off as Mathew caught him with a powerbomb through a table on the floor. Shafir chained Willow to the ringpost through her ear flesh tunnel, as The Bucks hit a running Meltzer Driver onto Shibata off the apron.
The heels were firmly in control, as Mox and Marina teamed up to fight Shibata in the ring, the fans chanting ‘please help Willow’ as Nicholas Jackson hit a swanton off the entrance screen through Hobbs on a table on the ramp. Hobbs regained his druthers to fight Mix and The Jacksons on the ramp, but a series of chair throws finally took the big man down as the Jacksons went for an EVP trigger, as Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana were driven back out on a forklift, Swerve crushing the Jacksons with a stomp to a big ovation. Nana finally released Willow as Hobbs spinebustered everyone in sight then took chairshots to the back from Shafir and Claudio before he and Willow hit tandem spinebusters.
Hobbs laughed as Nicholas Jackson plugged him with a staple gun in the back, even telling him to pull the trigger in his face. Swerve then got the staplegun and just started plugging everyone in sight, even tagging Matthew Jackson in his tallywhacker, only for Marina to get control of the gun and staple Swerve in the tongue. Willow then speared everyone in sight before eating a Mox cutter, Omega then running in with a series of snapdragons to everyone. Marina spat in Omega’s face and dared him to attack her, only to eat a snapdragon for her troubles. Superkick party as The Jacksons took control of the ring, Prince Nana and Rick Knox even tasting shoe leather for their troubles. Swerve launched Nicholas off the top through a ringside table before he and Willow hit Indytaker on Mathew Jackson for two.
A fired up Samoa Joe started wrecking shop, but as Claudio was readying to enter the fray with a chair HOOK made his return dressed as Kenny McCormack to whallop Claudio with a golf club as Joe hit a muscle buster on Mox then locked in the Coquina Clutch. As Joe looked to have things sewn up Gabe Kidd appeared with the briefcase to save the day and start swinging. Gabe piledriver on Kenny, then Yuta filled Kenny’s mouth with tacks as he ate an EVP Trigger. Claudio and Yuta with the Kings swing dropkick combo, then Mox with the Bulldog on Kenny only for Joe to rush in and make the save. The heels had the numbers as they stood tall in the ring. Gabe Kidd led the action to the still waiting ambulance only for Mark Briscoe to appear out of nowhere with a running senton off the ramp. The Opps piled the Death Riders into the ambulance and locked it, leaving The Bucks alone in the ring with Swerve and Omega as the former world champions hit a tandem V Trigger House Call combo. Prince Nana handed Swerve a pair of Reebok Allen Iverson Answer 3’s coated in tacks, nailing a tack covered Swerve Stomp onto Nicholas Jackson as Omega crushed Mathew off the ramp with a One Winged Angel through an exploding table, Swerve covering Nicholas in the ring for the win.
Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, & Josh Alexander) def. Paragon (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, & Roderick Strong)
Adam Cole and Konosuke Takeshita started off after Kyle Fletcher blew Cole off, the TNT Champion all over Takeshita In order to try and stop the big man gathering any momentum. Kyle O’Reilly followed suit, peppering ‘The Alpha’ with kicks before Josh Alexander tagged in, KOR and Roderick Strong teaming well to keep Alexander at bay. All three members of The Paragon then teamed well to pummel Kyle Fletcher, but The Family managed to isolate Roddy as Alexander nailed him off the apron with a diving bodypress through the ropes, before double teaming the former PWG World Champion on the floor, Don Callis even getting his boots in just for the heck of it.
The Family continued to beat down Strong, but he avoided a Takeshita Blue Thunder to nail an Olympic Slam, only for Josh Alexander to again cut him off before he could reach his corner. Eventually Roddy got the tag to Adam Cole, the champ coming close with a two count after a Backstabber on Alexander. OG Last Shot on Alexander before KOR tagged in with some strikes before an armbar. O’Reilly and Alexander rolled through and exchanged Ankle Locks and strikes, before taking one another down to the mat. Cole superkick on Fletcher, but a Panama Sunrise attempt saw Cole eat superkick himself. The Family triple teamed Cole to great effect, Takeshita hitting an assisted top-rope powerbomb onto Cole for two. The Paragon again took control on the floor, KOR flying kneeing Takeshita on a chair, Roddy sending Alexander into the barricade, Panama Sunrise on Fletcher on the floor then all three striking Fletcher in the ring. Cole and Alexander exchanged strikes before Fletcher launched Cole with a release German Suplex, before KOR and the ‘Protostar’ exchanged kicks, KOR locking in a deep guillotine choke before Takeshita elbowed him allowing Fletcher the lift KOR into an impressive walking deadlift sheerdrop brainbuster for the 1-2-3.
Post-match Lance Archer and RPG Vice stormed the ring to beat down Paragon. Brody King and Tomohiro Ishii then waled to the stage, closely followed by Hiroshi Tanahashi! The three fought their way to the ring to ‘holy s***’ chants as Fletcher found himself surrounded and alone in the ring. Slingblade by Tanahashi and a BOOM from Cole to end the segment.
Hangman Adam Page def. Will Ospreay - Men's Owen Hart Cup Final
Video shows Hangman ruminating over his past year in AEW and his war with Swerve, with Page narrating and saying he can’t change what he has done but he need to become the champion that he was, ending on “I need this”. Ospreay’s entrance was also complete with an audio track, replaying his recent promo against Hangman. In ring big fight introduction from Justin Roberts for this one.
Slow start off with some chain wrestling, the audience divided down the middle in their support. Hangman looked to be teetering on the edge, referee Bryce Remsburg stopping him from going too far and grabbing Ospreay’s hair. Strike exchange favoured Page before Ospreay used his superior agility to land through a German suplex. Hangman avoided an Oscutter, Ospreay dodged a Buckshot then missed a Hidden Blade as the crowd applauded. Running hurricanrana and a standing skytwister press for one for Ospreay, followed by a series of chops which were unceremoniously cut short by a huge Page forearm. Ospreay regrouped and dropped Page with a Phenomenal Forearm, but Page caught a follow-up vaulting body press and chucked Ospreay with a fallaway slam into the guardrail. Hangman beat Ospreay down with corner elbows then launched Ospreay with a series of high angle back suplexes for two. Ospreay fired up after a series of kicks from Page but was again floored with a rolling elbow after a brief strike exchange. Stundog Millionaire into a corkscrew kick by Ospreay before wiping out Hangman with a Sasuke Special.
Torture Rack into a UFO bomb by Ospreay for two, but when he went for a moonsault to the floor Page cut him off, threw him to the apron, crushed him with a springboard clothesline then hit a moonsault of his own. Powerbomb by Page then a Sharpshooter in tribute to Owen Hart, Ospreay getting to the rope. Page backed Ospreay into the corner and asked him what he’s got, absorbing a series of strikes before nailing Ospreay and launching him across the ring with a suplex. Ospreay fired back with an enziguiri but an Oscutter attempt received a clothesline. Page rebounded looking for a clothesline and was rocked with a standing Spanish Fly, both men hitting the deck after a hard hitting sequence.
Ospreay went up top but was cut off, Hangman joining him on the top only for Ospreay to pull him down and feed him a Cheeky Nandos. Page regrouped and flipped down for a Buckshot, but when going for a follow up from the apron ate a kick to leave him teetering on the top rope as Ospreay flattened him with a Shooting Star Press for two. Moonsault press into a Tombstone for two by Hangman, then a Styles Clash attempt by Ospreay was scouted as Hangman hit an Angel’s Wings for a two count. A form of BME by Page missed, Ospreay catching him on the rebound with a Hidden Blade out of nowhere, but unable to follow-up with a pin as Page rolled to the apron. Strike exchange on the apron ended with a powerbomb by Ospreay into a Styles Clash off the apron to the floor, Ospreay clutching his knee afterwards.
Page beat the standing ten count in the nick of time, but Ospreay was ready with an Oscutter and a Hidden Blade… but could only get a two. Ospreay teed off on Page with some uncharacteristically angry strikes, referee Remsburg dragging Ospreay off and reprimanding him. Ospreay then big booted Hangman off the apron as he readied for a Buckshot, Page colliding with the Spanish announce table. Ospreay repeatedly rammed Page’s head into the desk to a chorus of boos, then attempted a Tiger Driver through the table, only for the desk to collapse as Page manoeuvred to hit a Deadeye - scary spot - with Page then hitting a flush Deadeye onto the collapsed table in a follow-up.
Hangman readied for The Buckshot as Ospreay collapsed across the ring and slowly removed his elbow pad as we had a standoff, Page also removing his elbow pad. Both launched forward, but it was Page who was quicker, turning Ospreay inside out like Rikishi with a big Buckshot for a one… two… kickout. Page again went for a Buckshot but ate a Hidden Blade and a Stormbreaker as Ospreay got a one… two… kickout. Ospreay readied in the corner but missed the Hidden Blade as Page collapsed. Hangman slumped on the ropes as Ospreay aimed a gun and cracked him with a V Trigger and went for a One Winged Angel, only for Page to hit Big Pressure for two as Ospreay got to the rope. Hangman again went for Buckshot as Ospreay rolled through into a Stormbreaker attempt only for Page to hit a clothesline the a Buckshot Lariat for the 1-2-3 as the crowd came unglued.
Referee Bryce Remsburg placed the ceremonial Owen Hart title around Page’s waist as it was confirmed; Hangman vs. Mox for the AEW World Championship at All In Texas on July 12. Page made his way up the ramp to the Owen Cup as Ospreay recovered in ring, before Hagman turned and went back to the ring to offer his hand to Ospreay, which Ospreay gladly accepted in a show of respect.
