WWE's Los Garza Win AAA World Tag Team Titles At Triplemania Regia

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide have new tag team champions as Los Garza won the belts in their hometown of Monterrey, Mexico at AAA Triplemania Regia on Sunday night.

On a show which was initially only available in Mexico but has since been published on AAA's YouTube channel, Los Garza won a four-way against champions Sanson & Forastero, Psycho Clown & Pagano, and The Nemeths to win the AAA World Tag Team Titles. The finish saw Psycho Clown & Pagano on the verge of victory, only for Nic and Ryan Nemeth to pull the referee out of the ring. Psycho Clown and Pagano then took out The Nemeths with a dive to the outside, but this allowed Los Garza to hit their tag team finisher on Forastero for the victory.

Following the match, Marisela Pena presented the championships to the hometown heroes, who received a big reaction from the fans in attendance.

In the main event of Triplemania Regia, El Hijo del Vikingo won a Steel Cage Match to retain the AAA Mega Championship against Alberto El Patron, much to the dismay of the fans in Monterrey who booed Vikingo following his win.

The match featured interference from JBL, El Mesias, and El Hijo de Dos Caras on the side of El Patron, while Vikingo received assistance from Octagon Jr., Laredo Kid, and Nino Hamburguesa. Both Vikingo and El Patron sent each other crashing from the top of the cage through a table in the ring in the most memorable spot of the match.

The finish saw Latin Lover make his way to the ring and handcuff El Patron to the ring ropes, which provided enough time for Vikingo to climb over the cage and escape for the victory.

The TNA X-Division Title was also on the line in the opening match of the night as Moose successfully defended the belt in a four-way against Joe Hendry (who had a Spanish version of his entrance music), El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., and El Mesias. Moose picked up the win by hitting Lights Out on Wagner Jr. only moments after the AAA talent had received a low blow from El Mesias.

Before the live portion of Triplemania Regia, Mr. Iguana picked up a win in trios action alongside El Fiscal and Nino Hamburguesa against the Tokyo Bad Boys of Kento, Nobu San, and Takuma.
