It was noted earlier in 2026 that the legendary Jake “The Snake” Roberts had departed AEW after nearly seven years signed to the promotion, in which time he managed names such as Lance Archer, LFI, and The Righteous. He now has a brand new home.
Speaking to Nick Teodoro, Roberts revealed that he’d re-signed with WWE for the first time since 2019.
“Staying busy. Not with AEW anymore. I’ve re-signed with WWE. Doing some stuff for them and just enjoying life, man.”
Roberts was then asked about the differences between WWE and AEW, with him taking the opportunity to provide some booking advice to Tony Khan.
“There’s a lot of differences [between WWE and AEW]. Creative number one, no doubt. Tony Khan needs to loosen up the reins a little bit and take some advice. He’s got a good product. He’s got a lot of talent there. I think his talent can be used better. Just my own thoughts. I loved working for Tony Khan. He’ll wish you nothing but the best. He’s a sweet guy.”
It isn’t known what Roberts will be doing with WWE going forwards.
