WrestleMania 43 could be set to move to a more traditional time of year for WWE's biggest weekend of the year, but the show looks set to remain a two-night event.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported the expectation within WWE is that WrestleMania 43 will be taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as planned in 2027 despite the current turbulence in the Middle East due to the United States and Israel's war with Iran. A targeted date for WrestleMania 43 is the weekend of March 27 due to it being the final weekend of Riyadh Season, but the weekend of April 10 is also a possibility.
WrestleMania has traditionally taken place in late March or early April but the event has been moved deeper into April for WrestleMania 41 and WrestleMania 42.
WrestleVotes also noted that a one-time shift back to WrestleMania being a one-night event for WrestleMania 43 is possible, but it is considered unlikely. Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp noted that ESPN has preferred WrestleMania taking place over two nights. WrestleMania has been a two-night show since 2020's WrestleMania 36.
A major NXT event has often taken place over WrestleMania weekend, which has been Stand & Deliver since 2021, but the NXT event moved away from WrestleMania weekend in 2026 and that looks set to continue for WrestleMania 43. According to WrestleVotes Radio, NXT Stand & Deliver is not currently planned or expected for WrestleMania 43 weekend in Saudi Arabia.
WWE announced in September 2025 that WrestleMania 43 would be taking place in Saudi Arabia. The decision and WWE's partnership with the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority overall has received criticism since the two sides began working together in 2018, but WWE President Nick Khan recently claimed the criticism was just from a "vocal minority."
WWE's partnership with Saudi Arabia has been criticised due to human rights abuses in KSA. This extends to Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the Saudi Arabia GEA, who allegedly has a prison wing which contains people who have been detained for criticising him.
