WWE 'Very High' On Powerhouse Hobbs

Powerhouse Hobbs has had one of his best years to date in AEW, joining up with The Opps faction and reigning as one third of the AEW World Trios Champions for the better part of a year, all the while being involved in and around the periphery of the AEW World Title scene. Tony Khan is clearly a fan of Hobbs… but so it seems is Triple H and WWE.

It is reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there are those in WWE who are “very high” on AEW’s Powerhouse Hobbs, though it isn’t clear whether or not there will be any sort of play to try and sign him to the company at some point in the future. 

It was revealed all the way back in 2021 that WWE had reached out to Powerhouse Hobbs following on from his AEW debut, only to be rebuked as Hobbs signed with Tony Khan’s promotion, remaining there every since and claiming a reign as TNT Champion and a run as AEW World Trios Champion alongside Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata.
