WWE NXT Spoilers For July 1

Following a live edition of the show on June 24, WWE taped the Tuesday, July 1 episode of WWE NXT from the WWE Performance Center, with the show having implications for Great American Bash.

The taping for July 1 opened with a win for TNA's Joe Hendry as he defeated Wes Lee. Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe interfered to help Wes Lee until Mike Santana made the save, with Hendry pinning Lee soon after.

The opening contest was followed by Myles Borne picking up a win over Lexis King, who debuted a new look at the show as the former Brian Pillman Jr. wore short tights as opposed to long pants. Following this, Lainey Reid defeated Thea Hail after grabbing the bottom rope for leverage.

The issues within the D'Angelo Family continued in the next segment as Luca Crusifino called out Tony D'Angelo as they tried to solve their differences after Crusifino's accidental interference cost Tony D the NXT Heritage Cup on June 24. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo eventually came out and spoke from the entrance ramp, with Crusifino laying out Tony D soon after. This prompted Stacks to enter the ring, but Crusifino laid him out as well, announcing he was on his own side.

Oba Femi's challenger for the WWE NXT Title at Great American Bash was then revealed as Yoshiki Inamura defeated Jasper Troy in a number one contender's match. Post-match, Je'Von Evans took out Troy with a Springboard Cutter, while Oba Femi and Inamura exchanged words.

In the final match of WWE NXT, Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley defeated Sol Ruca and Zaria. The heels picked up the win after Zaria accidentally speared Sol Ruca and Izzi Dame followed up with a Sky High to Ruca.

The last segment saw Jordynne Grace cut a promo about challenging Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women's Championship at Evolution. This prompted Fatal Influence to interrupt and the faction attacked Grace after Jordynne and Jacy Jayne exchanged words. Blake Monroe then made the save for Grace and NXT General Manager Ava announced at Great American Bash it would be Jordynne Grace & Blake Monroe vs. Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley.

Matches announced for the July 8 episode of WWE NXT were:

• Charlie Dempsey vs. Tavion Heights - Tavion Heights can leave No Quarter Catch Crew if he wins
• Joe Hendry & Mike Santana vs. The High Ryze (Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe)
• Rick Saints vs. Vanity Project (Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) - Vanity Project Gauntlet
