WWE have carried out cuts to the creative team, it has been revealed.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that WWE Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations Christine Lubrano has been let go by the organisation. Lubrano's role saw her oversee "all strategic operations" for WWE creative, with the creative teams from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT reporting to Lubrano and Bruce Prichard. Lubrano and Prichard reported to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

Lubrano was one of 10 to 12 WWE staffers let go on Thursday. Cuts were made to several departments, including creative services and photography, PWInsider noted.

Why WWE decided to release Lubrano is unknown as of the time of writing. The company's creative has been criticised in recent months, though, particularly around the main event of WrestleMania 41 which saw Cody Rhodes drop the Undisputed WWE Championship to John Cena. Triple H hit out at fans who criticised WWE's creative during the build to the company's biggest show of the year.
