Nino Hamburguesa has been fired from his Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide contract following an altercation with a fan at an independent wrestling event in Mexico.
BodySlam has reported that Hamburguesa was released from his AAA contract, and he was informed of his termination in a Zoom call. A clip of Hamburguesa repeatedly elbowing a fan in Pachuca, Mexico on March 3 went viral, with BodySlam noting that the clip did Hamburguesa no favours. AAA talent had previously been informed they were allowed to continue accepting independent wrestling booking but they had to keep things professional.
Luchablog noted that other AAA wrestlers were informed of Hamburguesa's firing on Friday, March 6. RÉCORD has reported that Hamburguesa's firing was a WWE decision and it was done to send a message to AAA talents that they will be fired if their actions are deemed to be against the company's values.
WWE jointly owns Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide with Fillip, with the deal being completed in 2025. Hamburguesa had been a regular for AAA since 2012 and he is a former AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion with Big Mami.
