One of the reasons behind WWE announcing WrestleMania 43 watch parties in the United States so far in advance is because of All Elite Wrestling, it has been revealed.
WrestleVotes on Fightful Select has reported that some WWE officials expect AEW to have a significant presence somewhere in the United States over WrestleMania 43 weekend, with that expectation being a factor in WWE announcing events for the United States almost nine months ahead of WrestleMania 43.
The 2027 edition of WrestleMania won't be taking place in North America for the first time as it will instead emanate from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Rumours had suggested that AEW were planning to hold a major show in the United States over WrestleMania 43 weekend, potentially in New York City.
WWE have looked to counteract that by announcing WrestleMania 43 watch parties across the United States and at select COSM locations, although locations beyond The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City have not been revealed. Reports have noted, however, that other cities being planned for watch parties include Los Angeles, Dallas, and Orlando.
Also taking place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden following WrestleMania 43 are NXT Stand & Deliver and AAA Eternal Glory.
AEW CEO Tony Khan quickly expressed interest in AEW holding a show in the United States over WrestleMania 43 weekend after WWE's biggest show of 2027 was announced for Saudi Arabia in September 2025. That interest has been reaffirmed on multiple occasions over the past 10 months.
