WWE Changes Grayson Waller's Royal Rumble Weekend Plans

WWE have already changed their Royal Rumble weekend plans for Grayson Waller.

It emerged this week that Waller wouldn't be involved at the Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as he was booked to work this coming weekend's NXT live events in the United States. WWE have since altered those plans, though, and the company decided on Wednesday to remove Waller from the NXT house shows, according to PWInsider. Santos Escobar will be replacing Waller on the NXT events.

If this means Grayson Waller will be travelling to Saudi Arabia to compete in the Royal Rumble on Saturday is unknown. The former WWE Tag Team Champion has not wrestled on TV outside of Main Event matches since October 2025, although he has been featured on TV alongside The New Day.

WWE NXT have three days of house shows planned beginning today with an event in Knoxville, Tennessee. The WWE brand will head to Nashville for another house show on Friday before finishing up the mini loop on Saturday, January 31 with an event in Birmingham, Alabama. Absent main roster talents in The Street Profits are planned for the events.
