WWE are reportedly blocking watch parties in Chicago for the upcoming Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.

The show is set to take place at the United Center on Saturday, February 28, and will be headlined by hometown hero CM Punk defending his World Heavyweight Title against Finn Balor.

Per Fightful Select, watch parties in the Windy City are being blocked due to WWE's new blackout rules in an effort to increase ticket sales.

Earlier this month, it was reported that WWE were blocking Las Vegas bars from airing WrestleMania 42 for the same reason.

According to WrestleTix (as of three days ago) there were 14,895 tickets distributed for Elimination Chamber. The show is set up for 17,016, with 2,121 tickets still available. It is expected to sell out come showtime.

In addition to Punk versus Balor, the card will also feature Becky Lynch defending her Women's Intercontinental Championship agaisnt AJ Lee, as well as both men's and women's Elimination Chamber matches for world title matches at WrestleMania 42.

Despite being booked for Elimination Chamber, Lynch versus Lee is still scheduled for WrestleMania 42.
