After a busy weekend that saw both AEW and WWE running major shows both companies return to the grind. For WWE there are injury updates both positive and negative, whilst AEW/ROH are set to welcome back a former singles champion after an injury lay off.

Piper Niven is out of action with injury, with the Secret Hervice member having been taken off of WWE TV.

As seen on the September 19 edition of SmackDown, Chelsea Green tagged with Alba Fyre against WWE Women’s tag team Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, with Fyre subbing in for Niven.

Per Fightful Select, Niven is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury, with the severity of Niven’s condition currently unknown.

The former Doudrop has not wrestled in a WWE ring since a singles win over Charlotte Flair on the August 19 SmackDown. Chelsea Green recently took to social media to announce she was after temporary security replacements to seemingly fill Niven’s void.

Jey Uso has taken to social media to clear up his status after being busted open at WWE Wrestlepalooza.

The former World Heavyweight Champion bled heavily and was visibly shaken after an errant chair shot to Bron Breakker’s back ricocheted into his own forehead during The Usos vs. Breakker and Bronson Reed tag match.

Uso later took to Instagram stories to post a picture of himself with a bloodstained towel with the caption “I’m good”. Uso went through concussion protocol as a precaution following the bout on September 20.

ROH Star Set To Make Injury Return

Former ROH World Television Champion Komander is set to return to the ring in October, with Komander set to compete for an indie promotion in his hometown of Reynosa, Mexico on October 19.

Komander has been out of action since June after injuring his knee, leading to AEW pulling the rope-running sensation from their Summer Blockbuster edition of Dynamite. Komander also missed CMLL’s Fantasticamania 2025 show as a result of his knee injury.

Former Imperium team mates GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser split in late 2024, with Kaiser revealing why the decision to end their union was made.

Speaking on the Kennt Jeder podcast with Hamad Firdousi, Kaiser revealed the split was his and Gunther’s decision, noting that the pair realised something needed to change in order to help elevate Kaiser. Kaiser is currently portraying El Grande Americano on WWE and AAA TV.

Indie star Kylie Rae has announced she is pregnant with her second child.

Rae - currently affiliated with WWE through the ID Programme through which she reigns as WWE ID Women’s Champion - took to social media to announce the news, having not competed since early August.
