On the back of a hail storm that took place all the way back in 2023, it was revealed over the last week that the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority needs to place 60% of the US Bank Stadium’s roof. This is the venue that just so happens to be hosting the upcoming two-night WWE SummerSlam PLE on August 1 and August 2 in just over a month’s time. However, there is no need to worry, as it has been reported that any issues will serve no impact on the event.
According to WrestleVotes on X, a WWE source reached out to reveal that the event would be running smoothly.
“Following yesterday’s report from The Minnesota Star Tribune that a large portion of the roof at U.S. Bank Stadium requires replacement due to hail damage sustained in 2023, a WWE source tells us the issue is not expected to impact SummerSlam in any way. We’re told WWE has been informed by city officials that the roof remains structurally safe.”
It was noted by the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority that any measures taken are proactive steps and will not cause any unsafety to those attending events at the stadium. With SummerSlam fast-approaching, more reports are emerging regarding potential plans for the event.
