Update On Zayda Steel Potentially Signing With AEW

Among the several names who left WWE’s ID programme through releases or deciding to not renew deals was the highly acclaimed Zayda Steel, who left the promotion back in October. It soon emerged that contact had been made between Zayda Steel and AEW, with the promotion showing interest in bringing her in. 

The 22-year-old was then known to have been backstage at a recent TV taping, filming a pre-taped promo for Ring Of Honor to build towards a match in the coming weeks. As noted by Fightful Select, Zayda Steel is still not signed with AEW or ROH as of yet, though the latest update has revealed that many in AEW are expecting her to be signed, especially since she’s been present at not just one, but “at a number of recent TV episodes.”

The likes of Kylie Rae, Ice Williams, Jordan Oasis, Aaron Roberts and Bryce Donovan were some of the other names who ended up parting ways with the WWE ID programme over the last month, though Steel is the only one who has been spotlighted as having interest from AEW.
