Report: AEW Interested In Former WWE ID Talent

Over the last couple of months, several releases took place in regards to the WWE ID programme, with the likes of Ice Williams, Jordan Oasis, Aaron Roberts, Bryce Donovan, Kylie Rae, among others, getting let go from the programme. In the case of Zayda Steel, she decided against re-signing with WWE. This has opened the door to reported interest from AEW. 

It is reported by Fightful Select that AEW has shown interest in procuring Zayda Steel. Following her WWE ID exit, which became official in early October, it is believed that contact was made between Steel and AEW, though as of yet no deal has been signed between the two parties. 

At the time of her exit, Steel took to social media to explain her decision to leave; 

“I’ve decided not to renew my WWE ID contract. I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and opportunities I’ve gained along the way, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me. I’m only 21, and have already done so much, but I’m just getting started! Thank you.”
