LA Knight may not be gone from WWE programming for much longer.

The former United States Champion was written off WWE TV on the December 8 edition of Monday Night Raw with a beatdown from The Vision which ended with Bronson Reed hitting a Tsunami to LA Knight on the roof of a car.

Knight's withdrawal from TV was simply a storyline, and WWE announced that Knight was out of action indefinitely with a cracked sternum and other injuries.

In an update, BodySlam has reported that LA Knight is expected to make his return to WWE TV "very soon." The former Eli Drake could be back on TV as soon as the January 5 episode of Raw from Brooklyn, New York.

The first episode of Raw of 2026 is also a tie-in with Stranger Things, so if LA Knight has to take down a demogorgon along with The Vision if he makes his return on January 5 remains to be seen.

Fan reaction on social media to LA Knight's beatdown from The Vision was initially one of outrage, with some even accusing WWE of burying the 43-year-old. WWE, however, were confused by the outrage, and BodySlam has noted that Knight is considered one of the top babyfaces in the company.
