Update On Deal Between Mr. Iguana And WWE

Mr. Iguana has been at the centre of news ever since his popular appearance at the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide 2025 event last week, taking the WWE Universe by storm and proving to be a big merchandise mover. WWE wasted no time in reportedly looking at ways to monetize all the attention he was receiving, leading to many assuming that it would only be a matter of time before we saw him crop up on WWE programming once again. 

Over the last week, Mr. Iguana made comments in regards to his surge in popularity, claiming that WWE were going to have him bypass NXT and head straight to the main roster, and it what may have just been a tongue in cheek comment. There were those who this apparently ruffled the wrong way, as reports suggested that he now had heat. 

Either way, it seems as though WWE is persisting with their Mr. Iguana plans, as a report from Fightful Select has noted that the two sides are working on finalizing a WWE deal for Mr. Iguana (and hopefully La Yezca too). It is noted that these talks are to secure him for future WWE appearances. It is noted that there was some confusion following the interview comments made by Mr. Iguana about where he’d end up - either on NXT or on the main roster.
