Speculation has been rife about the WWE futures of Los Garza following the May 11 episode of Monday Night Raw when Angel and Berto were definitively squashed by Oba Femi in the latest edition of the two-time NXT Champion's open challenge.
That speculation was fuelled after Angel Garza tweeted: "Thank you to everyone who never jumped off the ship and kept supporting the Garza Legacy through it all."
Despite the tweet, the belief within WWE is that Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo aren't actually going anywhere, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported. Alvarez further noted that with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide looking to secure a TV deal in the United States, it is likely that a lot of WWE's Hispanic talents are safe from being cut for the moment.
WWE carried out extensive cuts following WrestleMania 42, with 30 wrestlers being released by the organisation. Several talents also accepted pay cuts after they were given ultimatums of reducing their salary or being released.
Angel and Berto have been a part of WWE for several years, with Humberto signing with the company in 2018, while Garza joined in 2019. They have been a tag team since 2021, although they have primarily been utilised as a jobber-to-the-stars team on WWE TV in recent times, having not won a match since they dropped the AAA World Tag Team Titles to Psycho Clown and Pagano at TripleMania XXXIII in August 2025.
