AEW CEO Tony Khan revealed during the post-Dynasty media scrum that he spoke to Ricochet about his tweet in which the former AEW National Champion stated he was glad an X/Twitter user had multiple sclerosis (MS).
"I did, and I had a conversation with him. I had a good conversation and a frank talk. That was not acceptable, and I think that was communicated. We have a policy and continues to be a policy in place for such things, and that violated it. There is no place for that in wrestling or anywhere. I do appreciate you asking, and we've tried to move past that, but thank you for asking," Khan said.
Ricochet posted the tweet on March 16 after a fan criticised his acting following the Revolution pay-per-view. Ricochet was heavily criticised on social media over the tweet. He initially doubled down before deleting the post and apologising on March 17.
Reports noted that Ricochet was not forced to apologise by AEW or Warner Bros. Discovery but he was told by AEW officials that apologising was the right thing to do. Ricochet deleted the tweet after Chris Hero, an AEW producer and Ricochet's long-time friend, reached out and advised him to take the post down.
Ricochet has continued to be featured on All Elite Wrestling TV since the controversial post. This included at Dynasty, where he defeated Chris Jericho in Jericho's return match.
