All Elite Wrestling's pay-per-view schedule could expand, with AEW President Tony Khan open to the idea of more tentpole shows.

Currently, AEW run nine PPV shows per year, alongside various special edition episodes of Dynamite and Collision. The addition of AEW content to WBD’s Max streaming service has potentially opened the floodgates for more PPV specials, with Khan telling The Hollywood Reporter that nine is currently the sweet spot for AEW, but he could see the promotion running 10 PPV shows in the future.

When AEW was founded, they prided themselves on running four pay-per-view shows a year, but this number has gradually rose year-on-year. Indeed, prior to AEW signing a new lucrative multi-year multi-million dollar deal with broadcast partner Warner Bros. Discovery, it was suggested that AEW could adopt a monthly PPV schedule, similar to past PPV models adopted by WWE, WCW and TNA.

As such, AEW run no pay-per-view events in January or February, with Revolution in March their first PPV show every year, with Worlds End in late December their last.
