The Young Bucks have discussed starting another pro wrestling promotion which led to conversations between Matthew and Nicholas Jackson about purchasing Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
Matt Jackson said during a Q&A on his Never Not Jet Lagged YouTube channel:
"Me and Nick have talked about it a lot. We've talked about buying PWG and reopening. We've talked about starting our own indie. We've talked about a wrestling school. I don't know. In the next few years, though, if we're gonna do something, it'll probably happen in the next few."
PWG has been on hiatus since 2023, with co-founder Super Dragon announcing the promotion was taking a break as his girlfriend was battling cancer. The PWG website was briefly offline earlier this year amidst the hiatus.
Formed in 2003, the legendary California independent wrestling promotion featured some of the top names in wrestling today including Kevin Owens, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, and Keith Lee. The Young Bucks were also featured performers in PWG from 2007 until 2018. AEW lead commentator Excalibur is a co-founder of PWG.
The Young Bucks have been two of the top stars in AEW since returning from hiatus at Dynasty 2025. The Jackson brothers are currently out of action due to getting banged up in Anarchy in the Arena at Double or Nothing.
