The New Level will be a part of All Elite Wrestling for the long haul, with Fightful Select reporting that Austin Creed and Kofi signed five-year deals with the promotion when they put pen to paper on their contracts the day before All In.
The New Level made their AEW debuts inside Wembley Stadium, being revealed as Swerve Strickland's mystery partners in the Roulette Royale for the AEW World Trios Championships. The new trio went on to win the AEW World Trios Titles and they were the reigning champions until losing to Hangman Adam Page & Brodido in a Two-out-of-Three Falls Match at the WrestleDream pay-per-view.
Kofi revealed The New Level inked their contracts less than 24 hours before All In, but Fightful Select has reported that creative plans were pitched to the former Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods well before their deals were finalised and teaming with Swerve Strickland was one of the opening ideas presented to them. The New Level and Swerve were also never planned to have a long run as AEW World Trios Champions.
Strickland was also influential in bringing the former New Day to AEW as he played a big role in bridging the relationship between AEW and New Level initially as AEW CEO Tony Khan would not hold talks with the duo until they were officially free agents.
The New Level had previously been a part of WWE, with the New Day being a staple of WWE TV since 2014, but they were granted their releases from the company after being asked to accept pay cuts of over 50 per cent in the aftermath of WrestleMania 42.
