Tessa Blanchard’s upcoming Major League Wrestling debut appears to be off the cards, after all mentions of Blanchard were removed from the MLW website.
The former TNA World Champion was set to appear at MLW’s upcoming Fightland show in Charleston, North Carolina on September 12, however Blanchard has since been pulled from promotional materials, with posts on MLW announcing Blanchard’s impending arrival have also been pulled.
PWInsider reached out to MLW for clarification on Blanchard’s status for the September 12 show, with the report noting that ‘all signs are that won’t be happening.’
The controversial former TNA star confirmed to TMZ Sports in the past week that she was indeed joining MLW. Since promotional materials and posts regarding Blanchard have been deleted, MLW have yet to publish an official statement regarding Blanchard’s status, nor an update on the September 12 Fightland show.
Blanchard last wrestled for CMLL, who are in a strategic partnership with MLW. CMLL released a statement on September 4 stating that Blanchard was only set for MLW’s September 12 show:
“Regarding Tessa Blanchard’s participation in Major League Wrestling (MLW), CMLL announces that the agreement between the parties is limited exclusively to her appearance at the September 12 event, with no additional commitments or championship matches included. Therefore, there is no agreement between Tessa Blanchard, MLW, and CMLL that extends beyond this appearance.” - CMLL on X/Twitter.
