All Elite Wrestling are in the midst of rebuilding their tag team division, with the field set to be bolstered with a team signing new long-term deals with the promotion.
On August 6, The Gates of Agony team of Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun posted photos of themselves with AEW President Tony Khan on X/Twitter, suggesting the team had signed new deals. A follow-up from Fightful Select states the pair have indeed signed new deals with the promotion, and although the exact details of the deals have not been disclosed, it is suggested that the pair have signed long-term multi-year contracts.
Currently part of an on-screen alliance with Ricochet, Gates of Agony stand as two-time former Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Champions alongside Brian Cage, with the trio having been part of Tully Blanchard Enterprises and The Embassy/Mogul Embassy as part of their ROH/AEW run.
The team formed in early 2022, debuting on Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor XV show with a victory over Shinobi Shadow Squad. Gates of Agony have also wrestled for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, wrestling in the World Tag League Tournament in 2023.
