In something that appeared somewhat obvious due to the sheer number of dark matches he has worked for the promotion, it has been reported by Fightful Select that Steven Borden - the son of Sting - is believed to have signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Steven Borden made his AEW debut in a dark match at Dynamite Winter is Coming on December 10, 2025. The expectation as of mid-December was that Borden would be signed by All Elite Wrestling, and he has continued to wrestle for the promotion, having so far competed in 24 dark matches. Borden's most recent dark match saw him defeat Ortiz ahead of the August 8 edition of Collision.
Steven Borden was initially uninterested in pursuing a career in professional wrestling but that all changed after he portrayed Wolfpac Sting during his father's retirement match at AEW Revolution 2024. Borden then began his pro wrestling training under the tutelage of Darby Allin, which included Borden living in a tent, and he made his pro wrestling debut in October 2025.
Steven Borden may be able to form a Sting Bros tag team as Garrett Borden has also been training to become a pro wrestler and wrestling on the indies. Fightful noted that Garrett is on AEW's radar.
