A feud-ending match could be set to take place at WWE Clash in Paris, which is scheduled for the La Défense Arena on Sunday, August 31.

BodySlam has reported that WWE had discussed at one point running Sheamus vs. Rusev III at Clash in Paris. Whether WWE will move ahead with any plans for the match at Clash in Paris is unknown, but the match was floated internally for the August 31 pay-per-view.

Should it not be held in Paris, the rubber match between Sheamus and Rusev could instead take place on an upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw.

Sheamus and Rusev have been feuding in recent months. Rusev won their first match on the June 30 edition of Raw, while Sheamus levelled the series at 1-1 with a victory on the July 21 edition of Raw. Rusev has been back in WWE since returning to the company on the Raw after WrestleMania 41.

WWE will embark on a tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland ahead of WWE Clash in Paris with SmackDown, Raw, and house shows all scheduled to take place across the British Isles between Friday, August 22 and Thursday, August 28. WWE will then head to France for SmackDown in Lyon on August 29 before arriving in the capital city of France for Clash in Paris on August 31 and Raw on September 1.
