After several months out of action, a current champion within Ring of Honor made their return at Saturday night's tapings in Oceanside, California.

Late in the taping, ROH World Television Champion Nick Wayne appeared alongside Mother Wayne and Kip Sabian. Wayne ultimately wrestled a Proving Ground match, defeating Lucas Riley.

Nick Wayne had been out of action since August 2025 with a broken foot. The injury forced the 20-year-old to withdraw from AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where he was supposed to team with Kip Sabian against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage.

Wayne has been the reigning ROH World Television Champion since he defeated Komander for the belt at AEW Collision: Spring BreakThru in April 2025.

Elsewhere at the ROH TV taping, Deonna Purrazzo defended the ROH Women's Pure Championship for the first time just days after she admitted to being unhappy with the booking of her title reign. Purrazzo defeated Trish Adora.
