Sheamus Undergoes Shoulder Surgery

Former WWE Champion Sheamus has undergone shoulder surgery, with the ‘Celtic Warrior’ having not wrestled since mid-November 2025.

A report from PWInsider stated that Sheamus had undergone shoulder surgery in Birmingham, Alabama on December 30, with Sheamus’ wife Isabella Rivella confirming on Instagram that he had a procedure done on his shoulder:

“When I told my husband I wanted to go on one last trip before the end of the year, this is NOT what I meant. From the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Trevi Fountain in Rome to La Sagrada Família in Barcelona to… the Birmingham Surgery Center in Alabama — I’m honestly just happy to travel with him,” posted Rivella.

Sheamus last wrestled on the November 17 edition of WWE Raw from Madison Square Garden, teaming with Rey Mysterio and John Cena to defeat The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh in six-man tag team action. Sheamus’ last televised singles match was a win over Shinsuke Nakamura as part of the Last Time Is Now Tournament on the November 10 edition of Raw, but was subsequently pulled from the bracket.

There is currently no timetable for Sheamus’ in-ring return
