Ricochet looking wistful on April 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite

Ever since his WWE exit, Ricochet (especially under his new heel gimmick in AEW) has not been shy to share his opinions on the ongoings of the professional wrestling business, his experiences in WWE, and some of his distaste for his former promotion.

In recent weeks, Ricochet shared some expletives in regards to WWE, stating “Oh man, these guys f***ing suck” in response to WWE President Nick Khan claiming that WWE will likely be signing several AEW talents in the near future. Ricochet’s disapproval of WWE’s approach and practices has continued on X, where he replied to a post online from a user stating that Ricochet had won 0 world titles in AEW despite ‘jumping ship’. Ricochet had the following to say on how much WWE ruined his love for professional wrestling, rejecting the idea that he left to win world titles.

“No, the main reason was that the WWE ruined my love and passion for the sport that I grew up loving. AEW helped me find that love again.”

He would later sarcastically remark;

“You're supposed to slave your whole life away for a company that doesn't really care about you.”

Following his WWE exit last year, Ricochet had noted that his role in the company was simply to put others over.
