Rhea Ripley has spoken out at sections of the pro wrestling audience for ‘degrading successful women’.
The multi-time Women’s Champion took to X/Twitter to share her frustrations, posting the following:
“Women’s wrestling fan - 'women deserve better' (Same breath) - 'she’s sleeping with her boss that’s why she’s where she is' - 'She should retire' - 'She doesn’t deserve it' - 'She’s handed everything and never worked for anything' - 'I hope she gets injured.' YOU guys are the real reason it’s so difficult to be taken seriously as a women’s wrestler. If YOU put as much effort into your own miserable lives as you put into degrading successful women, then maybe you would accomplish something yourself.”
If any singular incident prompted these comments remains unclear at the time of writing. Elements of the WWE audience have spoken of their frustrations over the likes of Ripley, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair in particular seemingly always being in the Women’s Title picture in WWE. However there is a clear difference in being frustrated with WWE’s booking and degrading the talents and accomplishments of the performers in question.
