REVEALED: Why Otis Has Not Been On WWE TV

Otis of Alpha Academy has not wrestled in WWE since May 5 nearly two months ago, losing out to the recently returned ‘Bulgarian Brute’ Rusev in singles action on an episode of Monday Night RAW. In the meantime, Otis’ allies in the Alpha Academy have continued to have issues with Rusev, though without Otis by their side, who has been conspicuous by his absence. 

Recent reports revealed that Otis was not currently listed as an active member of WWE’s roster, indicating potential injury woes or something further to make him unavailable for use by WWE. Fightful Select have now offered a further update on Otis. It is noted that Otis is in fact injured and was undergoing an arthroscopic surgery in order to see if he had more pressing issues with his injured elbow. However, when it comes to the time frame of his absence, Fightful notes that the current view is that he isn’t expected to miss too much time.

Otis’ former ally turned enemy Chad Gable is another who has recently been put on WWE’s injury shelf, being written off WWE programming in order to undergo shoulder surgery that could keep him out of the ring for the rest of the year.
