Not every cable subscriber in the United States will be able to access WWE pay-per-views unless ESPN is able to agree to more deals with cable providers.

It was announced on August 6 that WWE pay-per-views/premium live events will begin airing through ESPN in the United States from 2026 as part of a five-year deal worth $1.6 billion. Every pay-per-view will air on ESPN's new direct-to-consumer service, while select PLEs will be broadcast on ESPN's linear platforms.

ESPN's DTC service is priced at $29.99 per month, but some cable subscribers who have ESPN will be able to use the DTC service without an extra cost. As of the time of writing, though, this does not apply to every cable provider.

ESPN clarified to PWInsider that WWE fans with access to ESPN through Hulu Live, DirecTV, Charter, FuboTV, and Verizon Fios will be able to access the new DTC service without an additional cost. YouTube TV is not currently one of the platforms that will provide access to the service.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted the situation is "a work in progress" and most cable providers will supply access to the ESPN DTC platform for free at launch, but those deals have simply yet to be agreed.
