One of the biggest changes to WWE under the ownership of TKO was the huge cutting back regarding house shows/live events. WWE’s European tours still feature these non-televised events, but for the most part it is a rarity for WWE to be on the road outside of the Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, and PLE loop.

Despite negativity regarding this, TKO’s Mark Shapiro spoke openly about plans to reduce house shows even further as time goes on. The likes of Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes showed some resistance to TKO’s stance, even recently pitching for more house shows to be added to WWE’s schedule. Well, despite TKO’s goal to reduce these events, more have begun getting added to the schedule in 2026, with WWE announcing some more over the summer. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this decision was made to hand talent more reps.

When it comes to those featuring on these shows, it is noted in this report that WWE will feature more of the younger talent in order to give them much more experience between the ropes and handing them more time in front of audiences. It was also noted in recent weeks that WWE were aiming to lower prices for these shows and to make them more affordable.
