Jake Paul is no stranger to appearing in the WWE, once coming to the aid of brother and WWE superstar Logan Paul a few years back. Given his name value and with WWE’s recent trend of bringing in celebrities and streamers, it has been a surprise to not see him in the corner of his brother, who is now a reigning World Tag Team Champion. It emerged this week from Jake Paul himself that WWE had banned him from the company, only for this to now be refuted.
When speaking to Smash Cast, Paul noted that he TKO had beef with him and banned him from any WWE appearances.
“I don’t take any beefs too seriously. It’s definitely in the name of entertainment. However, there is truth in it and there are points and certain facts that I would like to see pushed through like the UFC fighter minimum pay being $12,000 and that needs to rise. There are things in it that are serious, but from my side, I’m just having fun. The fact that one of the biggest organizations in the world, the TKO Group, has this major beef with me, they won’t even let me be in my brother’s WWE matches because they hate me so much. It’s pretty wild how much under their skin we are. I enjoy shit talk. I like [it] when people make fun of me. I’m easy to make fun of. And I’m able to make fun of myself. So, the beef to me is just fun and entertaining for everybody.”
However, a new report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has claimed that those in WWE have revealed that he is in fact not banned from WWE shows, shutting down all talk and rumours of this being the case. Paul ruled out an in-ring future last year, but did reveal his interest in being a manager.
