REVEALED: How CM Punk & Roman Reigns Ended Up Being Cast In Zootopia 2

The Rock isn't the only WWE-affiliated talent to have a role in the upcoming Zootopia 2 movie, as it was recently revealed that Roman Reigns and CM Punk would be playing the Zebros, a male zebra and horse who work for the Zootopia Police Department. Reigns will portray Zebraxton, while Punk will provide the voice for Zebroski.

WWE wrestlers have increasingly secured roles in Hollywood in recent years, and Sean Ross Sapp noted in a Fightful Select Answers Q&A that Punk and Reigns' agent Nick LoPiccolo helped get them cast in Zootopia 2. For the Disney flick, LoPiccolo would call the company and pitch ideas for a number of different roles. Disney liked the prospect of having Roman Reigns and CM Punk portray the Zebros.

CM Punk was the first wrestler to agree to the role, with Reigns agreeing later as he knew his children would love it. WWE were reportedly surprised by Reigns agreeing to the part.

Zootopia 2 - known as Zootropolis 2 in the United Kingdom and much of Europe - will be released this week. The synopsis for the movie is as follows:

"Rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De'Snake arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before."
