In what would be a dream job for some professional wrestling fans, there are staff at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut being paid to watch All Elite Wrestling.
That is according to TC of WrestleVotes on a WrestleVotes Live Q&A, who also noted that some WWE employees have AEW action figures on their desks.
"I know that there's people in Stamford with AEW action figures on their desks. There's people's jobs is to watch AEW programming and report into analytics and different departments on what's going on in AEW. So it's not like a hush-hush thing," TC said.
The report came after a question about whether or not WWE talents talk about AEW, with WrestleVotes noting that they ultimately do as many wrestlers from across WWE and AEW have worked together and are friends.
WWE and All Elite Wrestling have been in conflict since AEW was founded in 2019, with Tony Khan's company quickly establishing itself as the number two pro wrestling promotion in the world. The two companies were initially locked in the Wednesday Night Wars between AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT from October 2019 to April 2021, which was ultimately won by AEW when NXT moved to Tuesday nights.
In recent years, the conflict has consisted of WWE counter-programming AEW pay-per-views throughout 2025, including on September 20 when WWE Wrestlepalooza and AEW All Out aired on the same day. In August 2025, it was reported that WWE's tactics were part of a campaign to try and drive AEW out of business.
