Report: WWE Discussing Creative For Goldberg's Return

Goldberg could be close to returning to WWE TV, with the 58-year-old's retirement match planned for later this year.

According to WrestleVotes on WrestleVotes Radio, Goldberg has been discussed by WWE creative and within the company's marketing division, which is often a sign plans are in place for Goldberg's next appearance on WWE programming.

Goldberg last appeared on WWE TV at Bad Blood 2024 when he had a confrontation with Gunther. The angle was designed to lead to a retirement match against the former WALTER and Fightful Select has noted the match is "on the table" and is "considered a possibility" within WWE.

When exactly Goldberg's retirement match will take place is unknown but the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion noted in March he was close to being medically cleared to wrestle.

Goldberg has not wrestled since 2022 when he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber.
