Report: No Talk Yet Of WWE Bringing Drew McIntyre Back To TV

It appears Drew McIntyre won't be back on WWE programming in the near future.

PWInsider has reported that McIntyre is back in the United States but "there has not been any talk yet of his return to WWE storylines." McIntyre has been working on other projects for WWE, however, including a lead acting role. It was announced back in July that Drew McIntyre would be featured in WWE's series of live-action microdramas with ReelShort along with Joe Hendry and Jacob Fatu, with Hendry missing last week's Raw due to filming the microdrama.

Drew McIntyre has been gone from WWE TV since WrestleMania 42 when he lost an Unsanctioned Match to Jacob Fatu. McIntyre has been involved in movie projects over the past several months, initially filming his remaining scenes for the reboot of Highlander, with McIntyre in the movie as Angus MacLeod, the brother of Henry Cavill's Connor MacLeod.

Following this, McIntyre filmed The Last Druid in Spain along with Russell Crowe, with McIntyre posting images of him working out with the Gladiator star on Instagram.

While featured on WWE TV in 2026, Drew McIntyre became WWE Champion for the third time, holding the belt for 56 days before he dropped the title back to Cody Rhodes.
