Reason For El Clon's AEW TV Absence

El Clon has not wrestled for All Elite Wrestling since he unsuccessfully challenged Jack Perry for the AEW National Title on the April 25 episode of Collision and the reason for the luchador's absence has been revealed.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, El Clon is suffering from issues with his United States work visa, similar to the same issues that have affected several professional wrestlers in 2026. Amidst his AEW hiatus, El Clon has performed for CMLL in Mexico and he will return to the Lucha Libre promotion tonight to team with his fellow AEW wrestler in The Beast Mortos against Neon and Capitan Suicida at the 73rd anniversary show for Arena Puebla.

The Beast Mortos is another AEW talent suffering from visa issues, which has seen the former Black Taurus also be utilised in CMLL. Other wrestlers affected by visa issues were Mark Davis and Hechicero, although they are able to wrestle in the United States once again, while Gabe Kidd is still suffering from visa issues, although The Dogs member is currently in Japan wrestling in NJPW G1 Climax 36.

El Clon made his AEW debut in October 2025 and he has been booked as a utility player in the Don Callis Family so far. He was set to be the main foil to Hologram but Hologram has been out of action due to injury since September of last year.
