Rumours spread on Wednesday, June 18 that Hulk Hogan was on his deathbed, with claims made by Bubba The Love Sponge on his radio show suggesting that Hogan's close relatives had been called to say their goodbyes to the WWE Hall of Famer.

Hogan is not on his deathbed, though, and the 71-year-old was instead hospitalised due to an "adverse reaction" to a recent surgery.

"Hulk Hogan had a very successful cervical surgery and is experiencing some adverse reaction. He's doing well and should be home later today. Doctors expecting a full recovery," Eric Bischoff said in a statement to Wrestling Observer Producer Derek Sabato.

PWInsider noted that Hogan has been hospitalised over the past several days due to a reaction to the neck fusion surgery he underwent in May. The adverse reaction was believed to be because of all the back and neck surgeries Hogan has undergone, with The Hulkster stating in 2022 that he had undergone over 20 surgeries over the previous decade. The expectation was Hogan would be discharged on Wednesday.

While hospitalised, Hogan's business ventures remain ongoing and his Real American Beer recently submitted a bid to buy Hooters.
