Push Within WWE To Sign Dragon Lee To A New Deal

Dragon Lee has been on the receiving end of a push within WWE in recent months across the company's programming and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

That push has seen Dragon Lee win the World Tag Team Championships with AJ Styles on the October 20 episode of Monday Night Raw, having defeated Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. Lee then main evented AAA Heroes Immortales as he unsuccessfully challenged Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Title.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Dragon Lee received rave reviews for his match with Dominik Mysterio. Some in WWE have also brought up that the company needs to sign Lee to a new deal before his contract expires in 2026.

Dragon Lee signed a three-year deal with WWE in December 2022 and inked an extension when he moved to the main roster. Beyond his current World Tag Team Title reign, Lee is a former NXT North American Champion and WWE Speed Champion.

When exactly in 2026 Dragon Lee's contract expires is unknown, but reports noted in September that the luchador had close to a year left on his deal.
