Orange Crush's Adam Abdalla has announced his independent wrestling promotion - PRODUCE Wrestling - will be going on hiatus following their events on November 14 and November 15. The hiatus is due to an unexpected family medical situation and "the realities of market stability."
Abdalla issued the following statement:
"PRODUCE Wrestling will be postponing upcoming tour dates to 2027.
"This was a difficult decision to make, but after taking a hard look at rising travel costs, advances, uncertainty in the live event market, in combination with our primary concern, unexpected personal family medical circumstances, the most prudent decision is to reset and move forward in 2027 with new partners and intention to ensure the long term health of the project.
"In the meantime, we will be working with our team of creatives and promotional partners on content releases, collaborative shows, and opportunities for PRODUCE fighters.
"We'll still be moving forward with our partner shows on November 14th in Kingston, NY - PRODUCE × Assembly & November 15th in Brooklyn - Lucha Fresca. Tickets for New York, Florida and Montreal will be refunded.
"We will return to The Vermont in Los Angeles on February 25th, with PRODUCE: Most Wanted.
"Thank you for your support and understanding. Please contact MyAEW customer support with questions related to PRODUCE S2 purchases and refund process. We love you. We will return stronger."
PRODUCE Wrestling held their first show on June 29 and the promotion have held six chapter events so far. The promotion's unique selling point was that pro wrestlers co-curated PRODUCE shows with Orange Crush, with the likes of Jonathan Gresham, Lee Moriarty, Rocky Romero, and AEW's The Dogs all putting together events. Those events aired on MyAEW as part of a pay-per-view distribution deal.
PRODUCE's hiatus has fuelled further discourse about what has been a somewhat tumultuous period for the United States independent wrestling scene, with Absolute Intense Wrestling also announcing this week that they will be taking a break following November 27, with the company hoping to return in "late winter/ early spring of 2027."
This comes after Prestige Wrestling had already shuttered in 2026 and another top indy in DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling went on hiatus in December 2025.
