Report: People In WWE Believe Naraku Vs. Shiloh Hill Ruined NXT Halloween Havoc 2026

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 from the WWE Performance Center featured a show-long match between Naraku and Shiloh Hill and people within WWE weren't fans of what played out on the show.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, people in WWE believed Naraku vs. Shiloh Hill ruined the entirety of Halloween Havoc.

"By the way, I heard from some people there and it was interesting their comments to me because it was like their basic comment was, 'Yeah, Shiloh Hill and NARAKU ruined that entire show,'" Meltzer said.

Naraku vs. Shiloh Hill was advertised to take place as the second match at Halloween Havoc but the former EVIL attacked Hill backstage and they both ended up misting each other. This led to a bunch of trippy cinematic segments peppered throughout Halloween Havoc, during which they spoke to skeleton royal family members and brawled with other spooky creatures before Shiloh Hill and Naraku finally bumped into each other in a stone corridor and they were ordered to fight by the zombie referee.

After Hill and Naraku started brawling again, they ended up falling through the Halloween Havoc gate at ringside. This led to a short two minutes of action actually in the ring which ended with Hill picking up the win over the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

The match was not positively received by fans and critics and Halloween Havoc as a whole currently only has a 5.24 rating on Cagematch.
