It appears CM Punk will be off WWE TV until after the company's next main roster pay-per-view in Night of Champions, which is scheduled to air from Saudi Arabia on Saturday, June 27.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that sources within WWE expect CM Punk to be back on TV as soon as July and the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is scheduled to have a significant role at SummerSlam, which will be held on August 1 and August 2 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

It was noted by one source within WWE that all signs point to CM Punk making his return on or by July 6, when Monday Night Raw is scheduled to air from Chicago's Allstate Arena. July 6 is not definitively confirmed to be the date Punk will return as of the time of writing, but the expectation is his return to TV isn't too far away, regardless.

CM Punk has been absent from WWE TV since the Raw after WrestleMania 42, one day after he dropped the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania. Punk noted during his most recent Raw appearance that he wasn't "going on vacation", but he has been absent after WWE switched around their post-WrestleMania plans which resulted in Gunther moving to SmackDown to feud with Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu transferring to Raw for a programme with Roman Reigns. A future Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk match was teased on the Raw after WrestleMania.

Recent reports had noted that Punk was planned to be back on WWE TV at some point in the summer of 2026 and new merchandise for Punk was actively being worked on.

This came after wild rumours on X/Twitter which suggested that CM Punk's future with WWE was in doubt due to issues between the two parties, including that Punk was frustrated by WWE's treatment of his wife AJ Lee, that Punk had heat with TKO over politicking around WrestleMania, that TKO asked Punk to take a pay cut, and that there was an alleged incident that took place at WrestleMania. Those rumours have since been debunked.
