All Elite Wrestling's plans for a major match at All In could be in jeopardy.
While yet to be made official, plans have been in place for Cope and Christian Cage to reunite and team together against FTR at All In on July 12 inside Globe Life Field.
An issue may have arose around those plans, however, as Sean Ross Sapp noted on Fightful's The Hump that it had been hinted to him there were "some hiccups" over turning Christian babyface or removing him from The Patriarchy.
"The people I talked to hinted to me there was some hiccups in relation to turning Christian babyface or getting him out of The Patriarchy. Seems like he wanted to do that for a little bit longer. And I don't know the reaction of those that were involved in the story but they had planned for Cope & Christian against FTR at All In," Sean Ross Sapp said.
Christian Cage is currently in a programme with his fellow Patriarchy stablemate Nick Wayne as he sets up obstacles for the ROH World Television Champion to overcome. Cope, meanwhile, has been off AEW TV since being laid out by FTR during Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler's heel turn at Dynasty.
FTR have been on a winning streak since turning heel, having a 5-0 record due to wins against the likes of 2point0, Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong, Daniel Garcia & Nigel McGuinness, and Atlantis Jr. & Templario.
